Our Founder and Managing Director, Allan Hopper, has been in the travel industry in Sydney since 1989. Originally from Ireland, Allan began his career working for an airline before moving into retail travel where, within just five short years, he went from agency consultant to agency manager to agency owner. As a CLIA Master, Allan has attained the highest tier of cruise certification and is regarded as one of Australia's most experienced and knowledgeable cruise consultants. In January 2024, he created the fifth iteration of his business, Hopperound Cruise & Travel, a testament to his unwavering dedication and adaptability.
Throughout his career, Allan has embraced the travel industry's ever-changing landscape. The industry’s lockdown during the pandemic was a significant challenge, but it allowed Allan to reflect and reinvent his business. He rediscovered his passion for taking care of people, which remains the cornerstone of his business philosophy. Allan focuses on caring for his clients first and selling travel products second. His dedication to service has ensured that 100% of his business comes from repeat and referral clients.
